They call me Coach Mike.

Helping dogs and people with any behavior problem is what I do best. I tailor each training plan individually, as each dog and their human(s) are individuals. I am classically trained as an early education teacher, and am able to bridge the gap between human and animal communication.

I believe that all dogs have a purpose and a job in life -- a companion, therapy dog, agility, search and rescue, or a combination of jobs. City Living Dog Services will fulfill your dog's needs while training them to become star members of the community.

I have worked with every different breed, shape, and size of dog and a myriad of behavior issues. I believe that through confidence, patience, consistency, calm energy, and exercise, that all behavior issues can be addressed and taken care of.

I use my motto "Confidence. Patience. Consistency." as the basis of everything I do.

I believe that in order to train a dog you must think of all aspects of the problem. You use dog behavior and psychology in order to get the results you and your dog need. Another way to think of it is "holistic" - by which you need to account for all factors - mental, social, physical - to treat the whole dog, not just individual parts.

Coach Mike has been training dogs professionally for over fifteen years, and has been involved and fascinated with dogs his whole life. He graduated from the Animal Behavior College in '08, and has volunteered for the MSPCA, UnderDog ResQ, and Northeast Animal Shelter. He has his own amazing dogs that are in training for various areas like conformation shows, Temperament Test, CGC, and therapy.
